Green Halloween

Here' a great article from the David Suzuki Foundation (love that guy) about how to have a green Halloween by making some good choices for the environment. Have a read and see if you can choose at least one of these tips to try out this year! Can you think of any other earth-friendly tips for Halloween?

    reuse your candy lol. Just kidding:) No seriously though- I think that is a great idea. We spend a lot of money buying new constumes for Halloween, Christmas and most of the things we never even use again or grow out of them. Also, another idea is using items that do not use battery. Only 2% of batteries get recycled and the others end up in landfills. I read that batteries can leak heavy metals such as nickel cadmium and lithium into the soil and water supplies, putting people at risk of developing health problems, including damage to the nervous system.
